2013 SCS Convocation
Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies celebrated its 2013 graduates with two Convocation ceremonies on Friday, June 21 in the Alice Millar Chapel shortly after world-renowned dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov delivered his keynote address to all Northwestern University graduates during the 155th NU commencement ceremony. SCS Dean Thomas Gibbons addressed two enthusiastic crowds at Alice Millar Chapel on a rainy day on the Evanston campus, awarding 63 undergraduate degrees and 220 graduate degrees. The 2013 SCS convocation also marked the first graduating class of students in the Master’s in Predictive Analytics program. SCS alumnus Ryan Clayton Bank (BPhil Com ’09) spoke at the undergraduate ceremony and Timothy A. Dohrer, PhD (MALit ’96) was the keynote speaker at the graduate event. A reception for graduates, faculty, family and friends was held between the two ceremonies at the John Evans Alumni Center. Click here to view photos of both ceremonies.
