SPS Celebrates its 2014 Graduates
Northwestern University School of Professional Studies celebrated its 2014 graduates with two Convocation ceremonies on Friday, June 20 in the Alice Millar Chapel, following the Northwestern University 156th commencement at Ryan Field. In the first SPS ceremony — for graduates of SPS’s undergraduate programs and master’s programs in literature, liberal studies, creative writing, regulatory compliance and sports administration — Northwestern University President Morton Schapiro, SPS Dean Thomas Gibbons and keynote speaker Rod Sierra (BPhil ’95) addressed an enthusiastic crowd. The second ceremony — for graduates of SPS master’s programs in information systems, medical informatics, predictive analytics and public policy and administration — featured speeches by SPS Dean Thomas Gibbons and Louis Kishkunas (MPPA ’13). A reception for graduates, faculty, family and friends was held between the two ceremonies at the John Evans Alumni Center on the bright and sunny day.
