Online IMC Alumna Featured in Medill Magazine
Susan Conroy McLeod, one of the first graduates of the Medill Online IMC program (supported by Northwestern University School of Professional Studies), was recently featured in Medill Magazine. The article chronicles Susan's decision to take on a graduate degree while already well into her career — when she enrolled in the IMC program in 2012, she already owned a successful business and had more than 30 years of experience in media management under her belt. But she recognized the need to keep up with rapid changes in the media landscape. “Those who have been around since the analog days need to understand it takes effort to change the way you do business,” she said.
Susan completed the program and graduated in 2014, just under two years after she enrolled, and is already applying new strategies and techniques learned in the IMC program to her role. “I’ve put the IMC program to work immediately. I want to spend more time problem solving, and spend less time dealing with manual activity.”
