MSRC Program Hosts Seminar on Marketing Strategies for Clinical Trials
On Tuesday, January 21, Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies hosted an online chat with Cynthia Doucet, Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research in the diagnostic division of Abbott Laboratories. In the hour-long seminar, Doucet delved into the impact of marketing for clinical trials and stressed the importance of creativity in marketing for each study. “We’re all trying to innovate and put together studies that are different than what’s already been done, so the problems that you’re going to run into are not the ones you will have already read about,” said Doucet. “You’re going to have to be creative because everything is new. There is no written answer already.” The event, hosted in conjunction with SCS’s master’s in regulatory compliance (MSRC) program, concluded with a question and answer session between Doucet and MSRC Faculty Director Kelly Carroll.
