SCS to host Special Event with Accomplished Public Sector Leader Jodey Arrington
Learn from accomplished public sector leader Jodey Arrington as he shares insights gained from his experiences in the Office of the Governor of Texas, the White House, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and in public higher education. This special online event will be moderated by William Lester, faculty director of Northwestern University's Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration program.
Jodey Arrington has nearly 17 years of public sector experience. He has served as an adviser on appointments to state boards and commissions in the Texas Governor’s Office; special assistant to President George W. Bush and associate director for presidential personnel; chief of staff to Donald Powell, the 18th chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; deputy federal coordinator of Gulf Coast Rebuilding in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita; and as chief of staff for Texas Tech University System Chancellor Kent Hance. He currently serves as vice chancellor for research, commercialization and federal relations for the Texas Tech University System. Arrington has a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Texas Tech University. He also holds a certificate in international business management from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
