    Federal Loan Programs

    Private Loans

Federal and institutional grants and scholarships are not available to Graduate students in the School of Professional Studies. Students may look for outside scholarship assistance on the web at websites such as www.fastweb.com, www.scholarships.com or any other scholarship search engine. Please keep in mind that students should not be required to submit any form of payment in order to apply for outside scholarships.

  • Steps in the Application Process

    STEP 1

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and enter Northwestern’s school code of 001739. You and the Office of Financial Aid will both receive copies of your Student Aid Report 7 to 10 days after your FAFSA is submitted.

    STEP 2

Complete the University Aid Application which can be accessed via your CAESAR to-do list.

The financial aid office will begin sending financial award decision e-mails on a rolling basis about 4 to 6 weeks after your file is complete. If you have demonstrated institutional financial need, your financial aid package may include a combination of student loans.
