Tuition and Financial Aid
Students pay per course. Each course is equivalent to one unit unless otherwise specified in the course description.
2016-17 tuition per unit: $1,811*
Technology fee for online courses: $120
*Academic year tuition rate for all students. This tuition rate also applies to courses scheduled in the NU Summer Session only for students in the Prespeech Pathology Certificate Program in SPS or the NU Master of Science in Speech, Language and Learning program. For all other students enrolled in Prespeech Pathology courses in the Summer Session, the Summer Visiting Student tuition rate applies.
Students enrolled in the Prespeech Pathology Post-baccalaureate certificate program may be eligible for financial aid. For information on and requirements for financial aid, please visit the Chicago Office of Financial Aid website.

Each student is responsible for fulfilling financial obligations to Northwestern University. If your student account becomes overdue, you must pay a late fee. In addition, you are liable for any costs associated with the collection of your unpaid bills, including but not limited to collection agency costs, court costs, and legal fees. A student’s account may also be reported to a credit bureau. The director of student accounts may cancel or prevent the registration of students whose accounts are past due. Students whose university bills are past due may not be given a diploma or transcript.
