Post-baccalaureate Programs

Tuition and Financial Aid

Post-baccalaureate tuition is charged per course taken. All payment and charges are arranged through the Northwestern University registration portal CAESAR.


Post-baccalaureate students pay per course. Each course is equivalent to one unit unless otherwise specified in the course description.

  • 2017-18 tuition per unit: $1,850
  • Audit fee per unit: $925*

*some courses may not be audited

Online courses: $120 technology fee

Financial Aid

Post-baccalaureate Certificate students are not eligible for federal financial aid, except for those admitted to the Professional Health Careers program. For information about requirements for financial aid, please visit the Office of Financial Aid website.

Financial Obligation

Each student is responsible for fulfilling financial obligations to Northwestern University. If your student account becomes overdue, you must pay a late fee. In addition, you are liable for any costs associated with the collection of your unpaid bills, including but not limited to collection agency costs, court costs, and legal fees. A student’s account may also be reported to a credit bureau. The director of student accounts may cancel or prevent the registration of students whose accounts are past due. Students whose university bills are past due may not be given a diploma or transcript.
