NUCPS Scholarship Program

Northwestern University Center for Public Safety offers partial tuition scholarships to provide educational and training opportunities to public safety professionals so that they may enhance their careers and service provision to the communities they serve.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Must be a public safety professional in good standing who is employed by a public entity or not-for-profit public safety organization.
 
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Completed NUCPS Scholarship application. 
  • Only fully completed applications will be considered.
 

SELECTION / AWARD PROCESS

  • The number of scholarships available depends on the funding available as of September 1 of each year (the start of the NUCPS fiscal year). 
  • Scholarships are partial — the percent offered for the year will be determined based on funding available on September 1 and announced on this site.
  • All applications are considered on a rolling basis, in the ordered received (i.e., the email time stamp).
  • Applications must be received at least 90 days prior to the start of a desired course.
 

AWARD RESTRICTIONS

  • Scholarship awards are not applicable to the following courses: Police Motorcycle Instructor Recertification; Preventing Community Crisis Workshop; Agents of Change (A Preventing Community Crisis Class).

Scholarship Application

Our application for the 2017–18 academic year will be available early this fall. The exact date will be announced on this page on September 15.
