SPSC Students Give BackFarzad Sharif
On Monday, March 7, 2016, eight members of SPSC #392 volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey, PA, and cooked dinner for the families of children being treated at the Hershey Medical Center. Since 1974, the Ronald McDonald House has kept children happier and healthier by keeping families together, giving them a place to rest and refresh. In 2014 alone, the Ronald McDonald House lessened the burden on 5.7 million families by providing them a place to eat and sleep while their children were receiving much needed medical care.
On the night of March 7, 2016, SPSC #392 class President Farzad “Fuzz” Sharif, accompanied by Vice President Paul “Gasman” Gaspich, Treasurer Kevin “Big Money” Smith, Activity Coordinator Jeffrey “Freakdel” Friedel, honorary class officer Danny “With an I” Fry, and class students Gerhardt “Big G” Wendt, Svin “Sweed” Donaldson, and Chris “East Side” Bendl grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken fillets for approximately 70 guests of the Ronald McDonald House. In addition to the grilled goodies, they prepared fresh fruit platters, vegetable platters, chocolate, chips, and baked cookies which were fresh baked then and there on the premises.
SPSC #392 reserved four additional nights with the Ronald McDonald House to provide the same loving and caring services to these courageous families and their loved ones. Each time eight new members of the class participated in this wonderful endeavor.
