The Distance Learning team is excited to consult with you about best practices for teaching and learning in your online class at the School of Professional Studies. Whether you are a new SPS instructor or have been teaching with us for many years, we want to ensure that we are available to assist you.

Although these consultations are offered by the Distance Learning team, instructors who teach face-to-face classes are welcome to schedule consultations.

Course Preparation

Meet with one of the Learning Designers or Instructional Technologists on our team to prepare your course for the Spring 2025 quarter. DL consultations cover a range of activities ranging from the logistics of setting up your course to the pedagogical design of a synch session. This may include, but is not limited to:

• Updating your course syllabus
• Importing your course content for the upcoming quarter
• Discussing synch session planning

This is the perfect time to work with the DL Staff to update your course and prepare you and your students for a successful Spring 2025 quarter.
