- Elasticsearch is a search engine based on Lucene. It provides a distributed, multitenant-capable full-text search engine with an HTTP web interface and schema-free JSON documents.
- PostgreSQL is an object-relational database management system with an emphasis on extensibility and standards compliance.
- Python is an interpreted high-level programming language for general-purpose programming.
- Quest replaced Social Science Computing Cluster as of March 30, 2018. Instructors are responsible for managing the allocation and student use of Quest.
- R is a programming language and free software environment for statistical computing and graphics that is supported by the R Foundation for Statistical Computing.
