Trial Membership

$195 Half Academic Year (available only to new members, half year only)

Our Trial Membership is the perfect “get acquainted” level for individuals who are interested in seeing what OLLI has to offer. This special rate is for first-time members only and may be purchased one time only.

Trial Memberships are available to purchase during the Fall, Winter, and Spring membership purchase period.

• Fall Trial Membership entitles you to take one study group in the 14-week fall term and one study group in the 4-week virtual winter term.
• Winter Trial Membership entitles you to take one study group in the 4-week virtual winter term and one study group in the 14-week spring term.
• Spring Trial Membership entitles you to take one study group in the 14-week spring term and one study group in the 4-week summer term.

Trial Membership is not available for purchase in the summer.

Note: Trial memberships DO NOT include a Wildcard.

Full Year Memberships 

Full Year Memberships are ONLY available to purchase during the fall membership purchase period.

• The Full Academic Year option entitles you to take study groups in the 14-week fall, 4-week virtual winter, 14-week spring, and 4-week summer terms.
• Full Year Memberships include a Northwestern Wildcard, which allows members to take the NU shuttle between the Evanston and Chicago campuses, as well as other perks.

Basic Full Year = $495

• The Basic Full Academic Year option entitles you to take one study group in each of the fall, winter, spring, and summer terms.

Standard Full Year = $630

• The Standard Full Academic Year option entitles you to take two study groups in each of the fall, winter, spring, and summer terms.

Prime Full Year = $715

• The Prime Full Academic Year option entitles you to take three study groups in each of the fall, winter, spring, and summer terms.

Half Year Memberships 

Half Year Memberships are available to purchase during the Fall and Spring membership purchase period.

• The Fall Half Academic Year option entitles you to take study groups in the 14-week fall and 4-week virtual winter terms.
• The Spring Half Academic Year option entitles you to take study groups in the 14-week spring and 4-week summer term. 
• Note: Half Academic Year memberships DO NOT include a Wildcard.

Basic Half Year = $280

• The Basic Half  Year option entitles you to take one study group in each of the fall and winter -or- spring and summer terms.

Standard Half Year = $340

• The Standard Half  Year option entitles you to take two study group in each of the fall and winter -or- spring and summer terms.

Prime Half Year = $390

• The Prime Half  Year option entitles you to take three study group in each of the fall and winter -or- spring and summer terms.

Winter or Summer Only

$170 for the 4-week Winter or Summer Only Term

The Winter or Summer Only option is available to purchase during the winter or summer purchase period.

• The Winter or Summer Membership option entitles you to take two 4-week study groups in the summer term or all-virtual winter term.

Note: Winter or Summer Only memberships DO NOT include a Wildcard.

"Curiosity Never Retires" is OLLI's slogan. When you become a member of our lifelong learning community, you'll have a lot of fun in an intellectually stimulating atmosphere, and you'll meet many very interesting people along the way. In fact, many OLLI members remark that they came to learn, but in the process acquired a whole new set of friends.

Prime, Standard and Basic Full Year Memberships also receive a University student Wildcard ID with the following privileges:

• Access to Northwestern Library and Online Databases with borrowing privileges
• Free campus and intercampus shuttles (Wildcard with photo is needed to ride the shuttle)
• Reduced rates to audit School of Professional Studies classes after one full year of active OLLI membership (as determined by the OLLI director)
• Affiliate rates to join the University campus athletic facilities
• Student discounts

Scholarships

Full and partial scholarships are available during fall and spring terms, and awards are strictly confidential. Applications are due at least 10 days prior to the first day of registration for each term.  OLLI member donations help support OLLI scholarships. Apply online here.

OLLI Member Standards of Conduct

All OLLI members are expected to behave in a manner conducive to a successful and enjoyable learning experience. Sometimes, relatively harmless things can disrupt the study group dynamic; for example, some students unintentionally dominate discussions. Students must think about their role in study groups as individual students but also as an integral part of a group experience. Some disruptions are of a more serious nature and cannot be tolerated. These policies extend to student interaction with administrative staff.

As members of the Northwestern community, OLLI members are expected to behave with each other with civility, kindness, and respect, recognizing that disagreement and informed debate are valued in an academic community. Demeaning, disrespectful, offensive, intimidating, threatening, violent, or otherwise hurtful or unsafe behaviors will not be tolerated. Such behavior could result in dismissal from the program at the sole discretion of the Director.
