Keynote Address: Learning through Service: Engaging Lifelong Learners in Volunteerism

Mioshi Moses, Vice President of Volunteer Programs at AARP Foundation, will explore the evolving landscape of volunteerism among older adults, focusing on benefits of service particular to older adults and the best practices for engaging older volunteers. Drawing on years of experience in leading volunteer initiatives at AARP Foundation, Mioshi will discuss how to engage members with volunteer opportunities, and the unique motivations and expectations that shape their involvement. Whether you are an Institute staff or a volunteer leader, this presentation will equip you with the tools to engage volunteers across your OLLI.

Future Trends in Lifelong Learning: How OLLIs can Prepare

The world is changing. Our members’ interests, needs, and expectations are changing. Technology is changing. How must OLLIs change to remain relevant? A panel of lifelong learning leaders will discuss emerging trends in lifelong learning and the future direction of Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes. Gain insight into anticipated developments in members’ educational and social needs and how these changes may affect your Institute.
