On Friday, June 22nd, Northwestern University School of Professional Studies' graduates, family, and friends gathered at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre for the 2018 SPS Convocation ceremony. The historic venue's warm glow and plush seats provided a welcome reprieve from the rain on Michigan Avenue. An estimated 1334 guests joined SPS in celebrating its graduating class of undergraduate and master's degree students. SPS Dean, Thomas Gibbons, shared his congratulations and encouraged graduates to relish in their accomplishments. 2018 graduate Eden Porsangi (BS, Organization Behavior: Business Leadership) recalled how she landed a position at Microsoft, reminding students to never stop dreaming big. Keynote Speaker, Jon Suarez-Davis, alumnus (SPS '97) and Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of the Marketing Cloud at Salesforce, encouraged students to etch space for themselves as trailblazers. The ceremony closed with an SPS tradition. Graduates, led by a bagpiper, processed out of the Auditorium to smiles and cheers.
