I am an Instructional Technologist at Northwestern’s School of Professional Studies. I was born and raised in Humboldt Park, Chicago. I have worked in the education field for 8 years, primarily as an elementary school teacher. It was during this period that I developed a passion for and honed my skills in creating educational media and technology for students to enhance both learning outcomes and student engagement. I believe that learning and technology are integrated more now than ever and enjoy discovering new educational technologies and applications to incorporate inclusive learning support solutions in the classroom. I am excited to keep researching, growing, and bringing my perspective from first-hand experiences as a classroom educator into the Instructional Technologist role.
I received my B.S from the University of Illinois and my M.S. from Dominican University. You can still find me in Humboldt Park jogging on the 606 trail, or at the Humboldt Park soccer cages playing pick-up games. You might even catch me on the front stoop of my home catching the windy city breeze with my family.
