The Information Design & Strategy program teaches students how to translate information and data into meaningful visual forms, narratives and interfaces. This interdisciplinary program prepares students to step into a cross-functional or leadership role by developing a deep and holistic understanding of today’s sophisticated digital media. Students will build skills in teamwork, strategy, and ethics that are foundational to new media professionals.
The Communication with Data certificate will give designers the tools they need to communicate complex data accurately and effectively. The courses in this certificate will enable students to work with data analysts within their organizations to translate data into images and stories that executives and customers can understand.

Applying Credit to the MS in Information Design and Strategy Program
Students that are interested in the option of applying their credit to the SPS MS in Information Design and Strategy program must submit an online application and submit all required application materials.
Students that elect to apply to a master's program before completing a graduate certificate will be able to count completed courses toward the applicable master's degree, but there will be no certificate conferred.
