Tips for Troubleshooting Registration
TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENT*:
Registering for multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a mandatory,
integrated step to access Northwestern University systems. Northwestern
uses the DUO Mobile smartphone application for multi-factor authentication.

here.
Once you have
completed the MFA registration process, you will have access to systems
like CAESAR and CANVAS, Northwestern’s Learning Management System.
*It is a student’s responsibility to ensure access to Northwestern systems
after registering for a PDP course. If you do not have a smartphone capable of
downloading and using the DUO Mobile app, you may want to consider a
YubiKey
that can be purchased from several online retailers.

PROJ_PMI 401-DL : Essentials of Project Management
Description
This course is designed for project team members and project managers/professionals who are new to project management, or who are managing projects as one part of their job. In this course we will take a look at the fundamental processes of project management. Using readings, videos, discussions, and case study activities, you will learn how to apply the standard project management process to successfully initiate, plan, direct, and close a project.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Communicate the value of project management;
- Establish the structure and plan for a successful project;
- Assemble, motivate, and lead the project team;
- Ensure the project scope delivers the expected business value and desired outcome;
- Implement the proper mechanisms to prevent, minimize, and respond to risks;
- Develop and use various mechanisms to communicate project information;
- Ensure the project is completed per the agreed-upon quality standards;
- Ensure the project is completed per the approved budget; and
- Ensure the project is completed per the approved schedule.
