As a faculty member, Bob Lemke strives to design educational experiences for students that promote thought leadership and practical skills that advance the human resources profession and add value to business outcomes. Bob has been quantifying the effectiveness, impact, and value of human resource and workforce initiatives and investments for over 25 years. He has served as a human resources practitioner and as a management consultant and where he has led the development of HR strategy, planning and analytic capabilities. As a HR leader, Bob has worked in large and small sized organizations, privately held as well as public companies. He has had responsibilities for all functional centers of excellence within the HR function, developed workforce strategies and the business case for change. As a human capital consultant, Bob advises boards and senior leadership on the strategic, governance, and technical aspects of executive and employee compensation. His client experience spans organizations of all sizes and across multiple industries and includes strategic HR planning, specialized program evaluations, including competitive pay analysis, pay equity analysis, and the design and calibration of incentives. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management’s Chicago chapter, chairing its Education Committee’s Great Debate Series. Bob earned his master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Illinois State University and has completed advanced studies in Strategic Decision and Risk Management from Stanford University. Bob is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Andrew Stein is certified SHRM-SCP and was a participant in the Northwestern School of Professional Studies SHRM certification training program before becoming an instructor of the same program. Stein manages strategic compliance programs for a leading staffing, search and placement firm serving the Chicago area. Stein has held several C-suite leadership positions from marketing to engineering and operations. He has multiple successes as a senior executive building and leading strategically aligned teams that enable organizations to achieve stakeholder objectives while nurturing a high-performance and high compliance corporate culture throughout organizations. Stein has 25+ years leadership experience and has consulted globally on human resources, marketing, strategy and turnaround for start-up companies, private equity firms, and Fortune 1000 companies. Stein has a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

Paul Young is the human resources manager for the American Association of Endodontists. In a 30-year career as a human resources professional, he has experience as a generalist, recruiter, and HR leader across several industries, including food service, banking, mining, and education. Young enjoys the breadth of responsibilities that an HR career provides and the lifelong learning required to be successful. He is a former member of the Society for Human Resource Management’s Chicago chapter’s board of directors, chairing its certification committee for 6 years. Young currently serves on the Human Resources Advisory Committee for Chicago Scholars and is an active volunteer at national, regional, and state HR events. Young is a SHRM senior certified professional (SHRM-SCP) and is certified as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute. Young earned his BA at Western Illinois University, majoring in human resources. Paul's been teaching with Northwestern's School of Professional Studies since 2015 and received a Distinguished Teaching Award from the SPS in 2018.
