New Faculty, New Books, and an Upcoming Reading

We've welcomed a few new faculty to our program this academic year: poet John McCarthy and fiction writers Rachel Swearingen and Jim Stewart III. John, Jim, and Rachel will be joined by longtime faculty Naeem Murr and Donna Seaman for an in-person reading hosted by the Book Cellar, 4736 N. Lincoln Ave in Chicago on Friday, May 15, at 6:30 PM.

Naeem Murr published a new novel in February, Every Exit Brings You Home, and Jim Stewart released his debut novel, Defiant Acts, last spring. Donna Seaman's newest book is River of Books: A Life in Reading, John McCarthy's is the poetry collection, Scared Violent Like Horses, and Rachel Swearingen's is the story collection, How To Walk on Water.
