to register for your course and
update your emergency contact information
in CAESAR, Northwestern University's Student Enterprise System.
Tips for Troubleshooting Registration
TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENT*:
Registering for multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a mandatory,
integrated step to access Northwestern University systems. Northwestern
uses the DUO Mobile smartphone application for multi-factor authentication.
Steps to install the DUO Mobile App can be found
here.
Once you have
completed the MFA registration process, you will have access to systems
like CAESAR and CANVAS, Northwestern’s Learning Management System.
*It is a student’s responsibility to ensure access to Northwestern systems
after registering for a PDP course. If you do not have a smartphone capable of
downloading and using the DUO Mobile app, you may want to consider a
YubiKey
that can be purchased from several online retailers.

Description
Course modules include:
Module One: Introduction to Treasury Management
Module Two: The Treasury Management Environment
Module Three: Financial Reporting and Analysis
Module Four: Working Capital Management
Module Five: Risk Management
Module Six: Financial Management
In this program students will learn how to:
- Maintain corporate liquidity required to meet current and future obligations in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Manage optimal cash positioning through forecasting and short-term investing and borrowing activities.
- Employ working capital strategies and tools to efficiently manage current assets and liabilities.
- Utilize various types of payment systems and Internet technologies to transfer monetary value and business documents between parties.
- Monitor and control corporate exposure to financial and operational risks.
- Optimize capital structure, manage costs of long-term capital and quantitatively evaluate capital resource investments.
- Manage cross-border funds movement and utilize international trade financing methods.
- Coordinate financial functions and sharing of financial information with other internal departments.
- Delineate appropriate ethical behaviors expected in business activities.
- Recognize corporate governance issues that arise from the separation of corporate ownership and control.
- Build cost effective relationships with financial services providers.
Important Exam Information
A new version of the Certified Treasury Professional certification exam was released for the June 2023 - July 2023 testing window. Applying for the certification exam is a separate process and is not included in the tuition for this course.
