Tuition and Registration

Northwestern University Faculty/Staff:
Full-time, benefits-eligible Northwestern employees with one year of service may be eligible to use the Northwestern Employee Certificate Tuition Benefit toward tuition reimbursement. Please contact Human Resources at educational-assistance@northwestern.edu to confirm your eligibility prior to registering. The conference is a short-term, noncredit offering, and we provide a certificate of completion upon request.

Registration policies:

• All registrations must be completed online via the links in the table above.
• Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
•  Registration will remain open through the entirety of the conference.

Cancellation policy:
Cancellations will only be accepted in writing (by email to summerwriters@northwestern.edu) and refunds will be granted as follows: Cancellations received before 9:00am on the day of the workshop: full refund, less a 5% processing fee. Cancellations received after 9:00am on the day of the session: no refund granted. By registering for the conference, you are agreeing to these terms.

Manuscript Consultations:
Manuscript consultations are an opportunity to receive individual feedback on your writing manuscript. The consultation includes a 30-minute one-on-one meeting via Zoom with a conference instructor or panelist to discuss the manuscript, which you will send in advance. The submitted work can be up to 15 pages of prose or 8 pages of poetry (double-spaced, 12-point font). You can select your consultant when you register. Participating faculty members are only available for a limited number of consultations, so we recommend early registration.

Registering for a manuscript consultation is optional. You can register for a consultation using the form linked in the table above, separately from the conference registration.
