Northwestern University Center for Public Safety Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation policy applies to all Northwestern University Center for Public Safety courses, including but not limited to Management & Leadership Education courses, Crash Investigation & Reconstruction courses, and NUCPS Police Motorcycle Instructor courses.
If a student cancels their enrollment in a NUCPS class:
- 30 days to 14 days before the start date of a course, then they forfeit:
50% of the tuition fee, with a maximum of $2,000 - 13 days to the end of business on the Friday before the course begins, then they forfeit:
75% of tuition, with a maximum of $3,000 - Within two days before class begins, then they forfeit:
100% of tuition
Students who are "no-shows" at class forfeit 100% of their tuition.
Please note: Cancellations are not accepted by phone. Students who wish to cancel or withdraw from a course must submit the request in writing using the NUCPS course cancellation form. Please email this form to: NUCPS Registration at nucpsreg@northwestern.edu.
SPSC Online Withdrawal Policy

Students are not entitled to a tuition refund of any kind once class starts.
NUCPS-Cancelled Course
In the event NUCPS must cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment, students will be notified by email 30 days prior to the scheduled start date. NUCPS is not responsible for reimbursing non-refundable travel.
If NUCPS cancels a class, students will receive a refund of tuition paid.
If a student registers for a new session within 30 days of cancellation notice, they may transfer the amount of tuition paid. Failure to transfer registration to a future session within 30 days will result in a refund of tuition paid.
