NUCPS Regional Chapters
For nearly 90 years, we’ve had the privilege of impacting careers, agencies, and communities through some of the highest quality educational programming available for public safety professionals. Our relevance, effectiveness, continuity, and growth can be greatly attributed to enthusiastic response, word-of-mouth promotion, and the valuable feedback of our course graduates and current students – those who make up our NUCPS Community.
We are excited to offer the NUCPS Community an opportunity to engage with each other on a whole new level!
Our NUCPS Regional Chapters are your opportunity to network with fellow professionals in your region! Explore new and innovative avenues for continuing professional growth, take advantage of chapter-based seminars and workshops, network, and socialize with course graduates from different agencies and organizations -- and have fun in the process.

Georgia Regional Chapter
Kansas City Regional Chapter (includes Western Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa)
Pennsylvania Chapter (also suggested for Southern New Jersey)
St. Louis Regional Chapter (includes eastern Missouri & Iowa)

Illinois - Central Regional Chapter
The Illinois Central Regional Chapter is accepting membership forms for those interested in helping establish this chapter. If you live / work in Illinois outside of the Chicago and St. Louis metro areas, this may be the chapter for you! Depending on geographic response, a Northern Illinois chapter may also be added at a later date. Be sure to note Illinois Central on your membership application!Georgia Regional Chapter
July 19, 2024 - Last call to reserve passes to the Sept. 4 Chapter Launch Party at The Back Porch at Truist Park! Kansas City Chapter
The Kansas City Chapter has begun organization and is open for membership and for volunteers to help develop their chapter! If you work or reside in the Kansas City metro area, Nebraska, Kansas, or Iowa and would like to help launch this chapter, please submit your membership form to nucps-alumni@northwestern.edu before July 31 and indicate your interest in a chapter founder's role in your email.
Pennsylvania & Southern New Jersey
The Pennsylvania & Southern New Jersey Chapter has begun organization and is open for membership and for volunteers to help develop their chapter! If you would like to help launch this chapter, please submit your membership form to nucps-alumni@northwestern.edu and indicate your interest in a chapter founder's role in your email. Northern New Jersey also is welcomed -- however a Greater New York Regional chapter will be available soon.St. Louis Chapter
The St. Louis Chapter has begun organization and is open for membership! The founding members are currently working on organizing their first event -- so watch your email for that announcement.
What Do Regional Chapters Offer?
Regional Chapters support the mission of NUCPS by "contributing to the advancement of a secure society by providing current knowledge, skills and connections for public safety professionals to achieve their personal and professional potential."
NUCPS supports or facilitates the following chapter initiatives:
- A variety of on-ground events for networking and socializing with professionals in your region;
- Continuing education through seminars, retrainers, and workshops;
- A national NUCPS Chapter Newsletter;
- Important opportunities for providing NUCPS with valuable feedback;
- Official NUCPS individual chapter social media pages;

Who Is Eligible to Join a Chapter?
We welcome graduates of any and all NUCPS courses to Regional Chapters! Whether you successfully completed the School of Police Staff & Command, other Management & Leadership programs, a Crash & Reconstruction course, Traffic Engineering, Forensic courses, or the NUCPS Police Motorcycle Instructor Program, then you are eligible to join a chapter. We welcome retirees and those employed in the private sector in addition to sworn officers.

How Do I Help Start a Chapter?
NUCPS works with program graduates to build Regional Chapters throughout the U.S.
Starting a chapter is as easy as emailing: nucps-alumni@northwestern.edu. Let us know your name, agency, preferred phone number, preferred email, and city / state, and we will contact you within two business days.
As we begin rolling out chapters, NUCPS is able to offer regional leaders assistance in areas that include:
- E-blasts to students and course graduates in your region to generate membership interest;
- Planning annual or semi-annual educational opportunities, such as seminars, workshops, and retrainers -- as well as the registration processing needed for these events;
- Chapter-specific private Facebook & LinkedIn groups;
- Official NUCPS-branded artwork;
- NUCPS-branded give-always for member meetings;
