The MS in Data Science Capstone

The industry sponsored capstones are where “rubber meets the road.” It is the culmination and application of all the concepts, tools, technologies, and skills that students have acquired throughout the accelerated data science program. The course creates a space and opportunity for students to demonstrate their business and strategic thinking, communication, and consulting skills. Students work in small teams with a designated corporate sponsor organization on a real use case with real data. By working closely with the clients, students learn to navigate team dynamics, generate project plans, manage stakeholders, communicate effectively, and address real-world challenges.

Accelerated Academic & Language Support

Custom workshops, study sessions, and language support based collaboration and coordination with faculty for program and course specific support.

Examples of Academic and Language Support:
  • Power Hour Study Sessions for group work and individual support
  • Midterms/Finals Prep Workshops
  • Assignment-based revise and review study sessions sessions
  • Express Yourself! Workshops (pronunciation and discussion skills workshops to improve pronunciation, boost confidence, and communicate with clarity)
  • International student tutoring and language support (one-to-one, small group, online, and in-person)
  • Study skill support and workshops (time management, academic reading, research skills, etc.)
