Description
This course focuses on the role that cinematic film, as a genre or medium of popular culture, plays in generating knowledge or representations regarding Latinx peoples. It focuses on how cinematic films generate representations of Latinxs that make a difference in how Latinxs experience an access to civil and human rights. It also focuses on how Latinx film makers and actors use the same genre to counter such representations.
