ChemistryCHEM 131-0 : Fundamentals of Chemistry 1
Description
Quantum mechanics, electronic structure, periodic properties of the elements, chemical bonding, thermodynamics, intermolecular forces, properties of solids and liquids, special topics in modern chemistry.
Prerequisite/Registration Requirements: Chem 110-0 (C- or better). Students may not start the sequence in this course.
This course must be taken concurrently with Chem 141 lab.
Please note: This is the second course of a three-course sequence of Fundamentals of Chemistry. Students must get Department permission to take this course without first taking CHEM 110. Permission may require submitting transcripts or taking a placement exam. Details will be given at time of registration, so please register early to allow time for this process. Late registration could result in not receiving approval for the course.

PLEASE NOTE: The registration period for ALL summer courses is April 8, 2024 through June 16, 2024, even if the course begins later in the summer.
